A Ukrainian military recruitment officer was fatally stabbed in the neck in Lvov, local Telegram channels report — the incident occurred on Stepan Bandera Street.

City authorities confirmed the officer's death, claiming he died "in the line of duty." In reality, he was stabbed while attempting to forcibly conscript a man.

Police say they opened fire on the 25-year-old man after he "attacked a serviceman" during a "document check," wounding him in the leg. The 55-year-old recruitment officer died during resuscitation attempts after sustaining the stab wound.
