**China suspends fuel exports as global energy crunch deepens**

Chinese refiners have suspended exports of **gasoline, diesel and jet fuel** outside Hong Kong and Macau until further notice from Beijing, according to Reuters.

State-owned PetroChina has already cancelled most of its planned October gasoline and jet-fuel shipments as China moves to protect domestic inventories.

**Russia has simultaneously extended its diesel export ban through the end of October**, while global fuel markets are already under severe pressure from disruptions in the Middle East and attacks on Russian refining infrastructure.

Oil immediately moved higher, with Brent climbing back above **$100 per barrel**.
