**How Iranian mountaineers rescued a downed Yak-130 pilot**

New footage shows the rescue of an Iranian Yak-130 pilot shot down over Tehran by an Israeli F-35I on March 4, during the active phase of the war.

According to Iranian sources, the pilot ejected and landed in the Lavasan mountains. With enemy aircraft still active overhead, a full rescue operation wasn't possible, so Iran turned to local mountaineers for help with the search.

A couple of days later, the pilot was found by Iranian mountaineer and explorer Javad Gharaei, who received a letter of thanks from the commander of the Iranian Air Force. He has only now released the footage.
