**Iran-Gulf meeting on the Strait of Hormuz postponed**

The planned meeting between **Iran and Gulf states in Oman on Monday has been postponed**, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi announced tonight.

Albusaidi said the delay was **“in the interests of consensus,”** while Oman’s Foreign Ministry said more time was needed to create appropriate conditions for constructive dialogue. **No new date has been announced.**

The meeting was expected to address possible arrangements governing navigation through the **Strait of Hormuz**, as the region faces an increasingly severe oil and shipping crisis.

The postponement comes after **Bahrain had already refused to participate**, saying it would not join a collective meeting with Iran before diplomatic relations are restored.
