**Klitschko's luxury apartment never loses power while Kiev sits in the dark**

The three-story apartment of Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko in the city center never has its electricity cut, Ukrainian investigative outlet Slidstvo.Info reports.

Responding to the outlet's inquiry, energy company DTEK said 11 buildings, including the one on Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street where Klitschko has his apartment, are powered from a critical infrastructure facility, so they can't be disconnected separately.

The catch: DTEK gets the list of critical infrastructure facilities from Kiev's city hall, which Klitschko runs.

Klitschko bought the apartment back when he was world boxing champion. It takes up the top three floors and the attic of a building from 1901, with a total area of 225 square meters.
