**North Korea does not intend to give up its nuclear weapons regardless of the position of the United States and its allies**, North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui said, commenting on the results of a trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of the US, Japan and South Korea.


> “As North Korea’s Foreign Minister, I once again resolutely express and reaffirm our state’s unwavering commitment to possessing nuclear weapons. This commitment will remain unchanged and irreversible under any circumstances,” she said in a statement carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
