**Russian Intelligence Hacked Kushner's Phone, Exposing $2 Billion in Gulf Money, New Book Claims**

Vanity Fair has published an excerpt from a forthcoming book alleging that the phone of Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law and special envoy, was hacked by Russian military intelligence, exposing secret bank accounts and hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign transfers.

The book, "Princes and Thieves: Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Zayed's Secret Plot to Remake the Middle East," is by former Intercept reporter Matthew Cole.

According to the excerpt, Russian military intelligence hacked Kushner's phone sometime between 2017 and 2018. Dutch intelligence later learned of this after flipping a captured Russian hacker, who gave them access to a Russian server holding screenshots of the phone and its data. The Dutch then developed their own method of watching Kushner's screen as he used it.

Cole alleges Saudi and Emirati officials arranged for at least $2 billion to be placed in accounts Kushner could access, and that the phone revealed more than $700 million in transfers. An unnamed source reportedly discussed a secret financial agreement between Kushner, the UAE and, at least initially, Saudi Arabia, with Israeli and Emirati officials.

Kushner called the allegations "completely insane," saying no bank statements, account numbers or transaction dates were provided. His lawyers have put Vanity Fair and Condé Nast on notice and demanded the excerpt be removed. Trump called it "a totally false story."

The Jerusalem Post has already taken down its own reporting on Cole's claims, citing significant factual questions about the alleged transactions.
