UAE-aligned forces in Al-Dhalea have detained members of the escort of the Saudi-backed Yemeni government’s defense minister and set vehicles belonging to his convoy on fire.

Local reports confirm armed southern factions have blocked roads and surrounded the minister’s convoy amid escalating tensions in Al-Dhalea.

The Saudi- and UAE-backed factions are now turning on each other.
