**Trams and trolleybuses also halted in Kiev**

Trams and trolleybuses have partially stopped running in Kiev as well, local channels report.

Ukraine's Energy Ministry on the cause of the blackouts:


> "In recent weeks, Russia has significantly intensified attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The enemy is deliberately targeting power lines and transformers, which makes it impossible to deliver electricity to consumers."
