Assam Police arrested two illegal  Kangladeshi nationals, Salman Ahmed and Rushel Ahmed, in Katigorah after they jumped into the Barak River while trying to escape a raid. 

Police pursued them into the river and apprehended both, with two policemen reportedly sustaining critical injuries during the operation.
