BANGLADESH SET TO BUY 20 CHINESE J-10CE JETS IN $2.3 BILLION DEAL

Bangladesh is moving forward with a $2.3 billion agreement to acquire 20 Chinese-made J-10CE fighter aircraft, with a draft deal finalized following negotiations with Beijing. Structured across 10 annual installments through 2035–36, the procurement makes Bangladesh the second international operator of the multirole jet after Pakistan.

The move follows remarks from the Bangladeshi Prime Minister’s adviser, Zahed Ur Rahman, citing disputed claims regarding the jet's performance against Indian Rafale fighters during Operation Sindoor.
