Tripura authorities have launched a land verification drive near the Ashabari Border Outpost following an assault on a BSF personnel on November 2.

Joint teams of BSF, police and revenue officials are inspecting homes and shops, checking ownership documents and identifying possible encroachments on government land along the India-Bangladesh border.
