BREAKING: India puts an eye in geosynchronous orbit. 

ISRO’s GSLV-F17 has successfully placed EOS-05 into orbit — India’s first-ever imaging satellite operating from geosynchronous orbit.

From nearly 36,000 km above Earth, EOS-05 can continuously monitor the Indian landmass and sub continent, capturing images every 30 minutes and targeted regions every 5 minutes. A major boost for disaster management, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and national preparedness.

Five years after the GISAT-1 setback, ISRO has delivered a game-changing capability: not a flyover, but a constant watch - a stare.
