China-linked Hackers Used Autonomous AI Agents to Breach Taiwan Government Systems
Suspected China-linked hackers reportedly deployed autonomous AI agents to conduct a cyberattack against Taiwanese government systems in July.

The AI agents reportedly mapped 21 government institutions and extracted 2,500+ personnel records, while also targeting Taiwan's nuclear-safety and energy sectors.

Investigators found evidence suggesting a Chinese connection, but the attack has not been conclusively attributed to the Chinese government.
