**DGCA Mandates Two Pilots for Char Dham Helicopter Flights After Crash Kills Six**

DGCA has mandated two pilots on every helicopter operating Char Dham charter flights from Nov 2, following a crash in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district that killed six people.

The new rules also require co-pilots to be qualified for hilly terrain, prior destination and en-route clearances for every flight sector, and post-flight pilot reports.

**However, 11 helicopter operators have threatened to suspend services, arguing that the additional requirements would make operations financially unviable.**
