   **New Zealand’s Parliament has passed legislation implementing the India–New Zealand Free Trade Agreement by a 93–29 vote.**

The FTA, signed in New Delhi on April 27, will remove tariffs on Indian goods entering New Zealand once it takes effect.

Around 95% of New Zealand’s current exports to India will receive preferential access over time, with 57% receiving full tariff elimination from day one.

New Zealand has also committed to promote US$20 billion in additional private-sector investment in India over 15 years.
