Security forces in Manipur successfully averted a major disaster by detecting and safely defusing 27 IEDs  planted along an 8-kilometre stretch in the Kamjong district.

The joint intelligence-led operation was carried out by the Assam Rifles and the Indian Army's Bomb Disposal Teams Between 4 Oct and 7 Oct 2026.
