**US Approves $2.1 Billion Patriot Missile Sale to Ukraine, Funded by NATO Allies**

The US State Department has approved a potential $2.1 billion sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 MSE interceptor missiles to Ukraine. 

Canada, Germany and Norway will fund the purchase through a US programme, alongside financing backed by the European Union. No US funds will be used.

Lockheed Martin will serve as the principal contractor.
