**China’s Intelligence Chief Warns of AI Threats

China’s State Security Minister Chen Yixin has warned that rapid AI advances could threaten political stability, national security and critical infrastructure.

 He highlighted risks from deepfakes, political misinformation, cyberattacks and cognitive warfare. Chen urged stronger safeguards and oversight as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly capable and potentially vulnerable to hostile misuse.
