**EU Urges US to Reconsider Visa Denial for Palestinian Officials**

The European Union has urged the United States to reconsider its decision to deny visas to Palestinian officials, including President Mahmoud Abbas, ahead of the UN General Assembly in New York.

 The EU cited US obligations as the UN’s host country. Abbas is expected to address the assembly via video instead.
