EUROPEAN COMMISSION SEEKS EU APPROVAL FOR LANDMARK INDIA TRADE DEAL

The European Commission has formally submitted the bilateral Free Trade Agreement to the Council of the EU for authorization to sign. Once approved by member governments and parliament, the historic pact will form the largest trade agreement for both economies, slashing tariffs on 96% of EU exports and unlocking deeper market access.
