First Israeli Election Exit Polls Show Narrow Edge for Opposition

Israel’s first election exit polls suggest that the opposition bloc led by _Gadi Eisenkot_ has a slight advantage over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s alliance. Initial projections indicate 52–53 seats for the opposition bloc against around 50 for Netanyahu’s camp in the 120-member Knesset.

However, neither side appears close to the 61 seats required for a majority. Arab-led parties could play a crucial role in coalition negotiations, leaving Israel’s next government uncertain.
