‘**Harassed by loan sharks’, Rajkot couple dies by suicide**

A Rajkot couple, Ramesh and Bharti Chavda, allegedly died by suicide at their garlic-processing unit on October 26 amid claims of relentless harassment over loans. 

According to the police complaint, the couple had borrowed around ₹10 lakh but faced further demands despite reportedly repaying substantial sums.

Police have booked several moneylenders on charges including abetment to suicide and extortion, and are investigating the allegations.
