India has secured the collective backing of the four Visegrad Group (V4) nations Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic for a permanent seat on an expanded United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

This diplomatic endorsement took place on September 21, 2026, during the first-ever high-level V4+India foreign ministers' meeting held on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly in New York.
