INDIA’S LASER SHIELD AGAINST DRONE SWARMS ADVANCES TO MASS PRODUCTION!

DRDO’s 30 kW truck-mounted Directed Energy Weapon is moving towards its first production model within a year after successful 2025 trials by CHESS.

 Designed to engage drone swarms, fixed-wing UAVs & sensors up to 5 km through hard-kill heating or soft-kill electronic disruption.

DRDO is expected to issue an EoI for an industry partner within the next six months, paving the way for production.

The system is also being integrated into India’s IDD&IS Mk-IIA and Sudarshan Chakra programmes.
