India’s Ministry of Home Affairs has informed a parliamentary panel that active FCRA-registered NGOs dropped from 29,022 to 14,466 over a decade ago. 

Foreign inflows surged to ₹22,974 crore in 2024–25, with the US contributing ₹12,113 crore (53%). Religious uses drew ₹1,841 crore (8%), with just over 1% allocated to Muslim organizations.
