**Iran deploys 4,20,000-strong army ahead of possible US ground invasion**

Iran has reportedly deployed most of its roughly 4.2 lakh-strong regular ground forces along its borders, including special forces, rapid-response, mechanised and artillery units. 

A significant concentration has been reported along the Makran coast and Gulf of Oman, amid escalating tensions with the US and concerns over a possible ground operation.
