— Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced that 20 British diplomats and the Consul General would depart the UK consulate in East Jerusalem, leaving seven staff. 

This follows Israel closing the consulate due to UK sanctions on West Bank settlements. UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband stated the site would remain open as a “UK Mission,” with some staff temporarily withdrawn for security.
