**Lucknow Teen Allegedly Kills Mother After Dispute Over Gender-Affirming Surgery**

A 17-year-old in Lucknow was detained after allegedly killing his 42-year-old mother during an argument linked to his desire for gender-affirming surgery, police said. 

The teenager allegedly struck her with an iron wrench, causing fatal injuries, before informing police himself. A forensic team examined the scene, while investigators continue probing the circumstances.
