On **September 17, 2024**, thousands of pagers used by Hezbollah members in **Lebanon and parts of Syria suddenly exploded almost simultaneously**. The following day, another wave of explosions involving **walkie-talkies** occurred. Lebanon reported **27 deaths and around 4,450 injuries** from the two days of pager explosions. Israel did not officially confirm responsibility at the time, while Lebanon blamed Israel.
