**Petrol Pump Dealers Threaten Cash-Only Payments Over UPI Charges**

Petrol pump dealers have threatened to stop accepting UPI payments above ₹2,000, opposing the newly introduced ₹5 Merchant Discount Rate on fuel transactions. 

Dealers say the charge will pressure already narrow margins. The fee is payable by merchants, not customers, while the government maintains that UPI remains free for users.
