**Qantas Flight Diverted After Flames Seen From Engine

A Qantas Boeing 737 flying from Queenstown to Sydney was diverted to Christchurch after passengers saw flames coming from the left engine shortly after take-off.

 The aircraft landed safely about 52 minutes later, with no injuries reported. Qantas said the suspected engine issue is under investigation.
