Russia is bringing the  Ramayana to Moscow this Diwali! 

Russian performers will stage “Disha Ramlila,” a musical adaptation of the Ramayana, on November 7. 

The tradition dates back to 1976 and was popularised by Soviet actor Gennady Pechnikov, known as the “Russian Rama,” who received the Padma Shri in 2008.
