**Russian Man Discovers Plant Growing Inside His Eye After Months of Headaches

A 42-year-old Russian man, Maxim Sleptsov, was found to have a sprouted seed growing inside his eye after suffering four months of severe headaches, inflammation and double vision.

A tree branch had struck his face during a fishing trip, leaving a seed lodged in his eye. Doctors discovered that its 3mm-long root had penetrated the conjunctiva and removed it using an injection needle under local anaesthesia. His headaches reportedly disappeared after the procedure.
