**Supreme Court Limits BCI’s Power Over Law Students

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Bar Council of India (BCI) has no statutory power to discipline law students before they become advocates.

 The Court said disciplinary action against students falls under their university or educational institution. The ruling came in the NALSAR University case.
