**Supreme Court on Pharma Freebies: Centre Asked to Form Panel**

The Supreme Court has directed the Centre to constitute a committee to examine unethical pharmaceutical marketing practices, including expensive gifts and incentives offered to doctors. 

The panel will recommend measures for a possible statutory framework. Its report will be placed before the court, with the matter listed for January 29, 2027.
