THE REAL MISSION BEHIND THE CIA CHIEF'S SECRET FLIGHT TO RUSSIA

CIA Director John Ratcliffe made an unannounced, four-hour visit to Moscow to directly warn Russian officials against targeting NATO members, according to U.S. media reports.

The high-level mission followed American intelligence assessments warning that Moscow could test Western resolve through cyberattacks, hybrid warfare, or limited military incursions, particularly against Baltic states Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

Ratcliffe held discussions with senior Russian intelligence counterparts rather than meeting Vladimir Putin, who the Kremlin confirmed was briefed on the talks afterward.
