U.S. forces complete a new wave of strikes against IRGC military targets in Iran.

**CENTCOM** says the strikes hit air-defense systems, radar, maritime assets, mine-laying capabilities and communications sites.

**Washington** says the operation followed recent attempted IRGC attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and U.S. service members.

**CENTCOM** says more than 50,000 U.S. troops are currently operating across the Middle East.

 Iran has since launched retaliatory attacks against U.S. positions in the region.
