**UPI Transaction Value May Fall 10% After October 15 MDR Rollout**

UPI transaction value could decline 10% and transaction volume 4% after the new MDR takes effect on October 15, a _LocalCircles_ survey estimates. 

The 0.4% fee will apply to certain merchant payments above ₹2,000. The survey found many users may shift larger payments to cards, cash or bank transfers.
