**VOLKSWAGEN TO CUT 1 LAKH JOBS BY 2030

Volkswagen has agreed with unions to cut 100,000 jobs by the end of the decade, including 50,000 additional positions on top of previously agreed reductions. 

The restructuring, affecting around 15% of its global workforce, comes amid fierce Chinese competition, weak EV demand and US tariffs. 

VW also warned that the future of four German plants remains uncertain.
