A powerful explosion rocked the Kiev region near the Zhitomir Highway, followed by a fire, Ukrainian media report. The cause remains unclear, and it is not known whether it was the result of a strike.

Local channels say detonations are continuing in the area and are publishing new footage. An explosion has also been reported in Kiev’s Obolon district.
