A Sorosian weapon of mass delusion.  And an argument against general enfranchisement sadly.  

This strategy was deployed at Occupy Wallstreet.

Running against "the system" without offering an alternative that can be scrutinized and dismantled.  

It plays upon the biggest weaknesses of group psychology and mass formation.

It is cynical, manipulative, and threatens republican systems because it leaves thinking people to conclude that a stable dictatorship or monarchy is more suitable for this time.
