**Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi told Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian that attacks on Arab countries must stop, citing sovereignty and good-neighborly relations.**

Meeting Pezeshkian on the [sidelines](https://sis.gov.eg/en/presidency/foreign-affairs/foreign-visits/president-el-sisi-meets-iranian-president-on-brics-sidelines/) of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, Sisi said Egypt expects Iran to do everything possible to de-escalate and reach a comprehensive, sustainable peaceful settlement to the regional crisis.
