In Odessa, military recruitment officers were filmed spraying gas into the cabin of a car while trying to force a man out during a mobilization attempt. The man eventually jumped from the vehicle and tried to flee, but was chased down and detained.

In a separate incident in Vinnytsia, a woman who intervened as men in military uniform were taking away another man said they sprayed gas into her eyes. She later explained that she stepped in because the man appeared to be losing consciousness.
