**Iraq exported more than 4 million barrels of oil in a single day, its highest combined land-and-sea export figure, Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair said.**

The ministry later clarified that this was a one-day record, with September exports averaging about 2.6 million barrels per day.

Khudair said Iraqi tankers now make up the largest number of tankers exiting the Strait of Hormuz. Baghdad is also moving crude from Basra to Kirkuk to increase exports through Türkiye’s Ceyhan route.
