 **Lithuania will come under the crosshairs of Russian nuclear weapons if it hosts nuclear arms aimed at Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov** said.

_“If nuclear weapons are deployed on [Lithuanian] territory and aimed at us, then the territory of that country will likewise be targeted by our nuclear weapons,”_ Peskov told Russia’s Channel One.

Lithuania is moving to amend Article 137 of its Constitution, which currently prohibits weapons of mass destruction on its territory. The amendment cleared a Seimas committee on September 9, with parliament planning final adoption this winter.
