Norway has asked the Financial Times to correct its article about the conversation between Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Vladimir Putin.

In its October 28 article, the newspaper claimed that Putin spent most of Tuesday’s conversation “lecturing on medieval Slavic history.”

> “This is incorrect. We have asked the Financial Times to correct it because it is not true,” Støre said.

The Norwegian prime minister clarified that Putin presented his view of the situation, reviewing developments from 2014 to the present day. The Financial Times, however, told Norwegian newspaper VG that it stands by its reporting and will not amend the article.
