**Oil tanker strikes naval mine south of Strait of Hormuz — IRGC**

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy says an oil tanker has struck a naval mine south of the Strait of Hormuz, causing an explosion and fire in its engine room.

The incident occurred in the southern corridor — the route ships have been using in an attempt to bypass Iranian transit regulations. Iran has declared the strait closed to unauthorized vessels, with the PGSA maintaining a Non-Compliance List to restrict the future passage of offending vessels.
