Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani reportedly asked the Iraqi government during a recent visit to Iraq to postpone efforts to disarm Iran-aligned armed groups.

According to Al Arabiya, Qaani warned that imposing a state monopoly on weapons at the present time would be viewed by Iran as “a stab at Iran”.
