**Russia’s economy has demonstrated** _“resilience and survivability under the most extreme conditions”_ **in recent years, Central Bank adviser Kirill Tremasov said at the Eastern Economic Forum, calling it the economy’s defining characteristic.**

Asked what animal he would compare the Russian economy to, Tremasov replied: 

_“An animal that can live in the most extreme conditions... I associate that with a camel.”_
